Shattered Sanctity is a confrontational couture piece that transforms the body into a symbol of rupture and resilience. A bodice and skirt of jagged mirrored shards, stained with crimson, reflects the violence and moral judgment imposed on LGBTQ+ individuals, forcing viewers to see themselves within the harm.
Beneath the fractured surface, a layer printed with the Hand of Fatima (Hamsa) symbolizes protection and peace, highlighting the contradiction between religions that preach compassion yet weaponize doctrine against queer communities. Rather than rejecting faith, the dress exposes hypocrisy, standing as a visual protest for dignity, truth, and unapologetic existence.
